I’m spending so much time at the new @themarketline I’m getting my mail forwarded there. This is shrimp and snow pea leaf dumplings (yes!) and pork and shrimp shumai (ok!) on the right from Nom Wah. Yes that Nom Wah. They even have a Veselka offshoot here.

Another day, another Chinese/Cajun boil opens in nyc. @aquaboilnyc in #hellskitchen. Not the freshest crab but good shrimp and Cajun sauce more than made up for it. It’s garlicky and buttery a la NOLA BBQ Shrimp. Good Gumbo here as well. #crabboil. The place opened two months ago, and East Village import Le Sia opened recently a few blocks down.

Back to Village Cafe for some unfinished business, namely the Plov. Azerbaijani Plov is sweet, fruity and the rice is treated more as a side dish, but it’s better than most Uzbek Plovs I had. #azerbaijanifood #plov #brooklyn

Idly nuggets @khiladiny. It’s mostly lentil, part rice, and all delicious and healthy. Tastes like bead in a way but smartly spiced and comes with two sauces to play with. Never had anything like this in nyc. #southindiancuisine #alphabetcity #eastvillage
